10 years of contemporary photography in public space
To mark the occasion of the 150th birthday of Paul Gauguin (1848-1903), the Nationalgalerie, Staatliche Museen zu Berlin, in cooperation with Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek, Copenhagen, presents the exhibition "Paul Gauguin - Why Are You Angry?". In the preface to a past exhibition 20 years ago, Gauguin was described as one of the "Fathers of Modernism" along with Paul Cézanne and Vincent van Gogh. This exhibition aims to illuminate Gauguin's works from different perspectives, presenting them in the context of current issues as well as works by international contemporary artists.
For this important exhibition, Bureau Now s designing a catalog to showcase not only the works of the exhibition, but also some essays on Paul Gauguin, which will bring the reader a little closer to the French painter – who presented himself as a "wild" artist. Printed on Metapaper EXTRAROUGH White 120gsm at Buch- und Offsetdruckerei H. Heenemann, Berlin.
"Paul Gauguin - Why Are You Angry?" will be on view at the Alte Nationalgalerie from March 26 to July 10, 2022.
