Lamination is a full-surface protection of a paper with a very thin foil. Depending on the type of foil you choose to laminate a sheet of paper, you can obtain different effects from matte to glossy or even a soft-touch effect. However, you lose the tactile nature of the paper when you laminate it. Therefore, it is most suitable for extremely stressed surfaces, such as covers of books or magazines.
