Ornament is a time capsule of our society and culture, a snapshot of artistic expressions and ways of working. And whenever times change, artists create new images and symbols that accompany this change.

How will that look in 2020?
Publishing house Black Matter and Riso studio Herr & Frau Rio invited 16 artists from the fields of graphics and illustration, sculpture and painting to create an ornament which presents a personal view of culture – the culture from where they came and how this culture has inspired their creative Work.
