Europe's first BLOCKCHAIN-POSTER project
This is not only world format (1280 mm x 905 mm) but also world class and a world record. This poster was created through a collaboration between Erik Spikermann from the Lettertypen and Ferdinand Ulrich from the gallery P98A and the process of converting their idea into a poster was anything but easy. The paper format was specially developed by Metapaper and Mohawk. The upper / lower bands had to be ordered from the UK and controlling the printing machine was a real ‘challenge’. The poster was printed on a Johannisberger Schnellpresse from 1924 with a Ungerer sheet feeder; and it was the first time that the press had been run for over 22 years! They had to get creative – engineering the press to manage the huge oversized sheet weighing a whopping 419g. And best of all…..more posters are already in development!
