Wedding Invitation Cards
History is also modern. Modernists also need postcards. Ferdinand Ulrich illustrated silhouettes of historically significant design icons from the first half of the 20th century for the postcard set “icons of modernism”.
Printed letterpress with nyloprint plates at Die Lettertypen, Berlin. Overdoing letterpress, so that you get a better touch, means that you can see and feel the motif on the back too – though this can present some challenges if the back-side also needs to be printed. In the case of this project the solution was to use MULTILOFT paper. You can apply a lot of pressure to the material without having to worry too much about the back because the materials were glued against each other. Postcards of a different kind.
