To showcase Metapaper’s versatile ROUGH DELUXE paper, Metapaper collaborated with its Berlin-based printing partner, Pinguin, to develop five cards that were printed on an HP Indigo press and then digitally finished using a Scodix machine.

The cards clearly show that the print image has a luxurious sheen—unbelievably good for uncoated paper—while the texture remains pleasantly rough. ROUGH DELUXE is therefore ideal for many high-quality print products—from elegant photo or art books to extraordinary, custom-finished cards.

ROUGH DELUXE is the first textured uncoated paper suitable for digital—and thus custom—finishing—that is, for hot foil stamping as well as spot and full-surface varnishes. “Digital” also means: from a print run of 1 to an unlimited number of copies.

In addition, ROUGH DELUXE is designed for all standard printing processes: HP Indigo, inkjet, offset, and digital toner printing.
