Digital printing mainly uses formats ranging from 50 x 35 cm to 45 x 32 cm. However, there are now also digital printing machines that can print on paper up to 70 x 50 cm, in A2 format.

In offset printing, a distinction is made between large and half formats. The large format is usually between 102 x 72 cm and 88 x 63 cm, while the half format is between 70 x 50 cm and 64 x 45 cm.
