For certain digital printing papers - especially for uncoated papers - a primer must be applied before printing so the toner and ink adhere to the surface of the sheet. This requires an additional process step with a risk that the primer will yellow. In the Metapaper-range, no paper is primed but all are suitable for digital printing. This is due to using leading paper technology such the patented i-tone technology from Mohawk.
