In 1990, printer Hans-Jürgen Graw and typesetter Hugo Gronert started their own small printing business in Mayen. Gradually, their machinery and staff grew, necessitating a move to larger premises.
They found ideal conditions in the Mayener Tal industrial park: a modern production hall, excellent transport links, and ample parking. Their customers are mostly from the Mayen/Koblenz region, but word has also spread to customers further afield that the Eifel region offers high-quality printing.
As a result, the company is experiencing healthy growth. Vulkan Printers places particular emphasis on printing on premium papers, including Pantone and HKS spot colors.
For several years now, letterpress printing, carried out on original Heidelberg printing presses, has once again provided an ideal complement to the widely used offset printing process.
The fact that some of the printers are still "real letterpress printers" is a significant advantage. This allows them to emboss and die-cut the printed materials, among other things.
